Oh, good. Now you get it, right?
You’ll be flooded with acronyms like GLN, UPC, GS1, BPR, RCI, CIN, CIC, CIS, and GTIN.
The only tip I can give you? The “G” usually stands for “global” (except for when it doesn’t).
Hopefully, you find yourself in a supportive environment of coworkers and leadership who can empathize with the agony of learning new data standards.
But if you don’t, here are a few suggestions from a once-clueless employee:
GDSN data is notoriously complex, so don’t feel out of place if your initial climb feels rocky and unstable. Because at the end of the day, learning all about GDSN is actually impossible.
